BRIEF HISTORY, BACKGROUND, UNDERTAKINGS, AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS
I’ve always had a passion for planning events, even when I was in university and planning events really had nothing to do with my degree! I always wanted to have my own event planning company, and to orchestrate beautiful events and weddings! due to circumstances, I had to put my passion on hold. years later I decided to just do it! I started my company and its grown organically based on my passion for designing and coordinating events across Canada and the USA. I’ve had the pleasure of working with various backgrounds and budgets. from small intimate receptions to grand extravagant affairs. in a wide range of spaces like banquet halls, hotel ballrooms, rooftops, golf courses, barns to estates.
WHAT DO YOU DO ON YOUR SPARE TIME? HOW DO YOU BALANCE IT WITH YOUR PROFESSIONAL LIFE?
Balancing your life is super important! in my spare time, I like to organize my thoughts, reevaluate where I am and where I want to be. I love to travel so any chance I get I am off to a new destination to disconnect from the social world, and take the time to get inspired with a new culture, its’ people and the food!
CAN YOU TALK ABOUT SOME OBSTACLES YOU FACED IN YOUR LIFE? HOW DID YOU OVERCOME THEM?
There are always obstacles in life, some harder than others. but it’s a matter of being strong, having faith and stopping at nothing to get to your goal.
WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO BE A LEADER?
Passion. with passion comes confidence, respect and focus. Your team will see that.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU PROVIDE SOMEBODY WHO WANTS TO FOLLOW THE SAME PATH AS YOU?
Just do it! stop over thinking, and waiting for the right moment. if you have passion and truly believe in it, whatever that may be for you, then just do it. otherwise 5 years from now you will look back at this moment and wish you had.
ANY FINAL THOUGHTS?
Please don’t give up on your dreams. ever. if plan a doesn’t work out, then go to plan b. if plan b doesn’t work out, then its plan c. there are unlimited routes that you can take to get to where you want to go, and reach for your highest calling. it’s not a matter if whether you can get there, whether it’s achievable, or whether it’s even possible, but rather if you can navigate yourself around the patches of life. don’t let them stop you. you just have to find the path that takes you there.
